Live From Antarctica Soth Pole crew, January 1995
The Live From Antarctica crew after the first ever (and only) interactive live TV broadcast at South Pole station, Antarctica. Silas Cole (far right) and myself (fourth from the left) were responsible for the final-link engineering of the broadcast, handling fiber optic, microwave (ENG) and radio-phone voice links necessary to complete the interactive broadcast, in which the students in several classrooms in the United States asked the scientists at the station questions about their work and conditions at the Pole.
